About MacroPro Photography

I specialise in photographing objects where precision and detail are critical, including coins, artwork, watches and historical artefacts

My work combines six years of specialist experience with formal training in cultural heritage imaging through Digital Transitions in New York City, as well as research undertaken through a Churchill Fellowship examining imaging practices in museums across the United States and UK.

I also received professional training from imaging specialists at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.

MacroPro Photography has developed around a focus on quality above all else, supported by efficient workflows that make large-scale projects achievable without compromising standards

Medium Format Imaging

Medium format cameras produce the highest quality, resolution and colour accuracy in images and is a step above standard photography.

All of my work is photographed using a Fujifilm GFX100 medium format system, capturing images at 102 megapixels, and a wide range of high quality lenses for different applications.

The larger sensor records significantly more detail, colour depth, and surface information than typical camera setups. This ensures accurate colour reproduction and detail to highlight the true nature of objects.

Lighting

Each project uses a custom lighting setup, designed specifically for the object being photographed to reveal its surface, texture, and detail accurately.

The photography process

I work very collaboratively with my clients, and each project is planned extensively before we start work, from cameras to lighting and workflows.

Work is usually carried out on site at your location to ensure the safety of all objects photographed, and I am fully insured to do so This also allows you to choose whether you will handle objects, and how much oversight is needed on the day.

Files are delivered professionally online through organised download folders, and you choose the image formats required.

Based in the United Kingdom, I work with clients nationally.
